Schedule for A Typical Day

Opening - songs, making friends, planning

Meadow time - a fast physical activity like Red Rover, leap frog or dodge
ball. The games we play at camp are "New Games": cooperative, non-competitive,
pure fun. Everybody wins!
11:00
Crafts, art (using materials gathered on site and/or with a farm/nature
theme) . . . Favorites – built from gathered materials: bird’s nests, boats,
mobiles, painted rock paperweights, composing terrariums

Lunch – in the cool of the "HQ"
Noon
Storytelling – Jo Walters is a storyteller and shares a lively
interactive one each day. Kids try their hand on the last day with a story,
joke, trick, song, etc.
12:15 pm
Animal Work - work involving the ducks, sheep, goats, llamas or chickens.
Favorites – candling eggs after gathering, sorting for size; "taming the sheep":
getting the lambs used to humans

Plant Work - growing sprouts, weeding, greenhouse activities, picking
blackberries

Pot Luck Snack - Families send snacks to share - only if and when they
feel like it! Kids are grateful for whatever arrives!

Woods Time - in the hottest part of the day, we'll be in the woods -
doing something with bugs, mushrooms, leaves, bark. (The #1 favorite woods
activity is Hide and Seek)
